Change is in Richard’s blood. Since moving abroad in childhood, he has lived & worked in many European countries, as well as America and Australia. After obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough, his early career included a variety of operational engineering roles, in design, projects and plant maintenance. He then moved away from mainstream engineering via a process improvement consultancy, attracted to the creative opportunities held within change management & improvement. Subsequent career progression through operations management, strategic & corporate functions, such as Business Development, Product Management and Group Logistics, has provided Richard with broad experience & appreciation of both business & people at all levels.
Richard has particular expertise in:
- Identifying & quantifying improvement opportunities
- Delivering effective change including transformation projects, improvement programmes and training initiatives.
- Managing & developing cross-functional teams to deliver creative, robust, timely solutions to business-critical goals
- Mentoring individuals & teams to maximise their potential & effectiveness
Richard is also the Professional Development Officer for The Institute of Management Consultancy (IMC), Wales & West region
